Time to go back to the camper

We walked Sandy down to the beach for the sunrise before leaving Wahweap Park. We came another very straight route that maybe 10 other vehicles knew about. Peaceful and pretty. We drove to the "little Painted Desert." Pretty but not much there. We drove into Winslow AZ to "take it easy" and eat. We are traveling I 40 so we are headed East. We stayed in Holbrooke to see The Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. We got a late start because there is so much to see there. If you enter from 180, there is petrified wood laying all over. I was amazed by the colors in the petrified wood. Then the Painted Desert comes more into view as you travel North through the Park. Amazing. We saw the sunset and then it got too dark to see the colors so we will have to return in the morning.
