The day started with a peaceful drive up Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a beautiful drive with lots of opportunities to get out and take short hikes. Sandy really enjoyed it. After getting back on 40, the business and crowds of the Eastern U.S. returned. We had a delicious dinner and a great show at the Dixie Stampede. Then we drove through Pigeon Forge. What happened? This use to be a place that reflected the hillbilly culture of the Smoky Mountains and I enjoyed going to it. Now it is a tourist trap strip with everything you would find in Myrtle Beach. What does sharks and the Titanic have to do with the Smoky Mountains?
