Home again, home again!

10:30 last night we drove into our driveway in Danville, Dad/Ed had driven since 4:30 in the morning. I don't know how he did it - he never got sleepy. I knit, read, typed and played solitaire on the computer. Needless to say, we were happy to be home after that few days of driving all day.

Holly Kitty came out of hiding about 15 minutes after we arrived. She looked at me getting into bed as if "is it really her?" Then up onto the bed ! She has not left us alone since and has been talking almost constantly. She is back into her routines already - meowing to Dad/Ed go out into the porch, She is begging for his breakfast at the moment! She was obviously very lonely these 7 ½ weeks! Thank you for feeding her and trying to coax her out of hiding, family!

Home looks so nice! It looks a little like fall outside, with the leaves falling off the birch tree. Plants have thrived in the porch and on the deck. Thanks for the care, Jacque! Brett, Barbara and whoever else mowed, the lawns look real good, thanx for the mowing services! Dad/Ed has walked out into our woods to visit his trees and pond already this AM. The beavers have been chewing! Fortunately, he had put wires around the ones he didn't want them to chew down!

There are lots of wood ducks feeding in the marsh as many flew up as he stopped at various spots to look out over the pond and marsh.

I will send you some of our favorite photos that I didn't get on the journal - some are on the Minolta camera, not the digital. It was a wonderful trip! We did and saw so much, met so many nice people, and had great times with Myrna and Butch. There are so many beautiful places to see in this country and in Canada!

I am so thankful to Ed for all safe driving he did! Not one even near accident in 12,377 miles!
