We were on the road today after another night of rain. Fortunately, the rain stopped by the time we were ready to get organized to hit the road. We encountered some of the worst roads ever today. PA61 running north was rough, narrow in several places, and we had stop and go traffic through the hills of PA for about 40 miles. Once on the freeway we ran into heavy fog for about 30 miles and also very rough road at every bridge. Once in the Binghamton area, Garmin found a very creative route on the back roads to our campground. The campground is nice with a good view over some small ponds out to the rolling hills to the south. We will be exploring Binghamton to see how it has changed since I spent a lot of time here in the 80's.
