I had broiled snapper at this restaurant, it was fresh and wonderful..

Our next stop was this beautiful sandy beach...

We watched as this board washed up and wondered who's it was....

Last one, the awesome Battery Point Lighthouse ...


We took a short drive to the beach in Crescent City, California today. It is so nice being so close to wonderful places to visit in California as well as Oregon, we are only three miles from the Oregon border. We visited Crescent City way back in 2009, we did a whole update on the incredible Battery Point Lighthouse. If you would like to know more, check out my update for 2009. I am only adding one picture of the lighthouse today, I posted a lot of them in the other update.

We went back today to see the beach and to have some fresh seafood. We certainly picked the right restaurant, it was loaded with cars, that usually means the locals know it’s good. I was craving some fresh snapper and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed the beach after lunch, we walked and watched the people swimming, surfing, paddle boarding and more. One thing they all have in common is wetsuits. The water is freezing cold here, the highs are only in the sixties and it gets a bit cooler at night, perfect weather in our opinion.
