|Our time in Tavarnelle, Tuscany has come to an end. We pack up and head downstairs to say goodbye to Giam Piero and Christina. I had taken a couple of bottles of Canadian Maple Syrup, advance planning, as gifts. When we meet with them they offer to show us what is next door in the building we were staying in. Giam Piero opens the door and we walk into a wine distillery. Had I known that we would have done some late night scoping out. There are three floors to the production of wine and olive oil. He offers us a bottle of wine as a gift and Christine gives us a jar of her home made jam. It was wonderful to have met this family. I will truly miss them all.
Back on the road. We got about 5 blocks away and made a wrong turn and screwed the GPS up. Had to return to start to begin again. This should not be news to any of you.
First, again no surprise, we head to the outlet mall in Barberino. Nothing to exciting so we get back on the road again. Today we head to Milan. This is a one night quick stop over as we have discovered the Bruce Springsteen is playing tonight. We check online and found tickets and a hotel room. So off we go.
We pick up our tickets at a mail box office, I was surprised the worked out. An then we head to the hotel. When we get there we look across the street and there is the San Siro Stadium right in front of us. We check in quick shower and head across the street and grab a sausage on a bun at the food truck right in the stadium parking lot. The gate for our seats is right there. We buy out t-shirts grab our seats and wait for the Boss to take stage.
The Boss takes the stage about 10 minutes after 8 and plays non stop for almost 4 hours. By far the most amazing concert ever. He was fantastic. He finishes around midnight and we head home.
