Dec 10, 2006 - Fleurieu Peninsula

With a few days until Webby heads off to Perth and I take the outback tour we decided to hire a car and just follow our noses a bit. We took a route down to Kangaroo Island which lies 8 miles off South Australia's coast and then back up around the Fleurieu Penisnsula to Adelaide. It went something like: * Selicks Beach (Where you can drive your car onto the sand and in for a paddle!) * Normanville (Beer stop) * Cape Jervis (A couple of hours on a red-hot beach and then to the ferry terminal. Webby had the last pie!) * Across the humorously...

Dec 30, 2005 - Kangaroo Island

As you will all know our travels came to an end and it was time to engage in a little work activity on "The Rock"(as it will now be known). It was time to get down and dirty in 'The Rockpool Cafe', Stokes Bay, Kangaroo Island, just in case anyone should ever go there, you will know where we were. We managed, as you would imagine, to meet some of the locals in the pub and even managed to gain a bit of work...

Aug 25, 2005 - Kangaroo Isd UPDATED

Kangaroo Island is the third largest island off the Australian mainland. Our first stop was Seal Bay, the home of the Australian Sealion and the second largest breeding colony in Australia. It was a rare delight to witness these playful creatures up close and in their natural...

Jan 6, 2005 - 3 Days on Kangaroo Island

Well I am now back in Adelaide after spending 3 days on Kangaroo Island (KI as known to the locals). Anyway I woke up early on Tuesday morning and waited for the bus to arrive late. I then slept the entire way from the city to the ferry and then I slept again on the ferry. Which was very good considering there were 5m swells and it was just crazy. Oddly enough I think I was one of 10 people of the entire ferry of 200 not to be sick. Anyway we arrive on Kangaroo Island and went to a view at Prospect Hill. The view was nice but the weather...
