Ola, After leaving Praia do Forte on Thursday I took a boat to Morro De Sao Paulo a small village on Ilhe de Tinhare. Friday was spent enjoying a day on one of the beaches near the hostel and swimming in the lovely clear water. Yesterday was slightly more energetic as I took a boat trip round the island which stopped at an offshore coral reef which had created a lovely little rock pool which was nice and shallow for snorkelling. Aug 15, 2008 - Morro De Sao Paulo - La Isla Bonita

August 10-15 Morro De Sao Paulo (nickname: Morro) is perched on the northern tip of the island Ilha de Tinhare. There are many words to describe this place (as is true to all places we've visited), but since we are sticking to one...we would say "Charming". It took 2.5 hours by catamaran from Salvador to get here. The ocean was no friend of Jenn's arriving. However, for the 1st time ever, Jenn saw free whales and dolphins swimming throughout the sea...it was amazing (even while hugging the toilet)! Morro is a popping vacation spot...

Jul 22, 2007 - Making clay while the sun shines

Thursday 19.07.07 Salvador from the air was a lot bigger than i expected, and it was still dark when we touched down. With a little perseverance, and absolutely no help from the taxi drivers crowding the exit doors, i managed to get a cheap bus which took me all the way along a beautiful urban coastline into the centre of town, while the sun rose outside.
