Apr 1, 2016 - 10 km Leblon, Ipanema and Arpoador Beach Walk

We took the bus to the beginning of Leblon Beach to start our trek back to our apt. at a cost of 3,80 BRL or $1.39 CAD. Postos 12. The long beach is segmented every few hundred yards by Postos (life guard stations). These Postos are the most common landmarks on the beach, and serve as a meeting place for locals and tourists. Living the Dream

Mar 30, 2016 - Jeep Tour of Tijuca Forest

More mountain climbers were in town scaling the cliffs as we started our tour. We look up and low and behold, we finally see Christ the Redeemer from afar! The tour of Tijuca forest takes place in a topless jeep. Lots of mighty people were biking and some even walking up this 2100 foot mountain! Vista Chinesa (Chinese Overlook) in Rio de Janeiro is a 380-meter (1,247-foot) high view surrounded by lush vegetation. This is one of the few perspectives in Rio from where you can have both Corcovado Mountain, the Christ statue and Sugar Loaf in...

Scariest part was when the pilot directed the glider over the sea some photo’s of this will be included below. After that, we then went on a tour of a real life Favela of Rio, which was quite an eye opener of how other...

Other things I enjoyed included visiting Christ the Redeemer, although the day we visited it was all cloudy! The day we visited it was a primarily clear blue sky all over Rio, except for one place,...
