Dec 10, 2008 - Paraty Day 4 - Pirates of the Caribbean

Today we headed out on our boat trip. Cruised around the Islands, taking in the sights, some of the guys went swimming and spent most of their time jumping off the boat. I chilled on the deck, reading my book, taking pictures and just taking it all in. It was like a scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean. All I needed was Johnny Depp to step out of the water...well a girl can dream can´t she? lol Leanne and myself took the raft and went over to the shore on one of the islands and took a walk. We went up to take some pictures by some rocks...

Aug 10, 2008 - Partying in Parati

So my little readers, i left Rio way too early on Sunday morning and 6 hours later arrived in beautiful Parati. The place is just like a post card...or it would soon show itself to be. Oct 27, 2007 - Stunning Parati

We arrived in Parati at 4am(!) and spent a slightly scary couple of hours playing cards at the bus station before we got to see how truly stunning Parati is. Our first sight of the bay, with its white sand, blue sea, the distant trees of the Atlantic Rainforest, and dozens of picture-perfect islands, will stay with us for a long time! We meant to just pass through on our way to Ilha Grande, but stayed a few days because leaving our lovely hotel, the pretty cobbled streets with their colouful houses, and the stunning coast was difficult!! We...

Jul 23, 1989 - Rio to Parati

SUNDAY 23rd JULY The others had to ring Aero-Pero at two o'clock to see if their flight was confirmed, so in the meantime, even though we have done so much shopping, everyone had thought of something else they wanted to buy before leaving, so we took the bus down to Ipanema, where the market takes place every Sunday. It was a huge market and everyone made their last purchases of beautiful leather goods. We returned to the hotel to make the telephone call at two o'clock, and found that their flights had been confirmed, so after a quick lunch...
