Day 10 I must apologize for messing up the days and sequence around day 4 and 5, technical difficulties. We started the day not knowing what was going to happen. Terry and I cleaned up in the morning and then down to MacDonald’s for a coffee and to use the WiFi. I skyp’d Marla and just as we connected Greg called. He said his bike would be ready to go in about an hour and would meet us at the next town down the road. Terry and I went back to the camp and started packing it away. Off to Alaska

Jun 27, 2009 - High Prairie Alberta

June 27, 2009 Saturday The scenery mainly consisted of flat grasslands, and trees along a very straight road. We drove through Spirit River and High Prairie – both little towns. We saw 3 deer on the road. June 28, 2009 Sunday We had some excitement at breakfast this morning. A huge black bear decided to have breakfast in our campground. He tipped a garbage can behind a trailer and methodically went through each bag. He was scared away once by the people taking pictures but then came back a few minutes later. BC June adventures

May 29, 2007 - High Prairie, Alberta

We watched The Far Country with Jimmy Stewart last night just to get ourselves in the mood for Alaska. We are getting close to the Alaska Highway which is Mile Zero! We stop at Lake La Biche and Athabasca. Athabasca is called "The Gateway to the North." I thought we were in the north! The scenery is great and we see our first Bald Eagle! The eagle flies across the road right in front of us. I'm sure we will see many more eagles during our trip but this is wonderful! Our campground is nestled between a ranch and a driving range. May 29, 2007 - Alberta, May 28

Off to Alberta. Saw deer and rabbit as we left Meadow Lake Park. Last night's rain really helped with the dust, thank goodness. J&J saw a wold and a mink, but not us. Got to CVold Lake, Alberta. Went to Walmart to replace John's tire. We bought a big hydrolic jack, just in case. He needed a prescription but American Presp are not good in Canada, so he had to go to a doctor. We just waited in the RV. It was too rainy to go anywhere. LOng, trying day. Decided to spent the night right in Cold Lake at the Municipal campground. What a lovely...
