Oct 15, 2013 - Lake Minnewanka Shoreline to Aylmer Lookout

We're counting down the days until our trip to the Himalayas, 2 weeks until we head to Nepal and then Bhutan. We wanted to get in one more long hike and decided the Lake Minnewanka Shoreline Trail to Aylmer Lookout would be a good option at this time of the year. We were right! Our neighbour, Mary, joined us on a beautiful day for a hike along the lakeshore and then up to the lookout. No snow in sight, warm and great views - perfect! Jul 3, 2008 - Flying High on Sulphur Mountain

Today we went up the Banff Gondola on Sulphur Mountain. Jenny’s ticket was a dog biscuit (to her!). The summit is at 7,486 feet and gives a panoramic view of Banff and the surrounding mountains. We walked the elevated boardwalk called the Banff Skywalk which told the history of the area and information about the wildlife often seen on the mountain.
