Mar 5, 2009 - WAS IT A DREAM
Funny as we left Salt Lake City and headed for Helena, Montana, we just watched the temp. drop and the snow fill the hills, but it was not to bad, and after all we had got rid of the shorts in Las Vegas, and our bodies were undergoing the freeze work up. We had no trouble at the border (which is strange, because after 10,000 miles we probably looked like we were on drugs), but got the usual-----Do you have GUNS? questions. Yea like, do you think I would waste my holiday money on guns, when there was other good stuff to buy. Anyway, sailed...Jump to full entry
Dec 26, 2008 - Leaving the COLD
We decided to leave a day early, as we heard a big storm could be coming from the west coast. So off early, hoping to make Great Falls, Montana if the roads are good. They were, by Alberta standards, some blowing snow but not for to many miles...................so all went well on Day ONE.Jump to full entry
Mar 25, 2008 - The Process Has Started!
The motor home is in production and will be ready at the end of May. We choose a Tifin, Phaeton 40' and will tow Dale's truck until we find something else in the US. We'll fly down to Huntsville, Alabama, to the factory to pick up the MH. There they have an area that the new home owners can stay and work out any kinks or have any service down by a crew that will come out and make any changes necessary. The plan is to take 5 days and to travel north St. Louis up to the border crossing at Manitoba (with papers in order!!) Visit Dale's family...Jump to full entry
