Aug 8... No pictures today. Lots and lots of rain. Impressive gas prices too... $1.05.9 L. Going to stay here at the Glowing Embers RV Park & Travel Centre for a couple of days. Have to get the oil changed on the motorhome and check out the West Edmonton Mall. Aug 9... Got the oil changed and lube job 1st thing this morning. $205.00 which included switching to full synthetic 5W20 motor oil. We can now say that we've seen the West Edmonton Mall. What a complex. 800 stores, ice rink, wave pool, aquarium pool & show and on and on. Wall to wall...

2014 Alaska Trip

Jun 4, 2014 - Spruce Grove, Alberta

We left Craven in a light rain and had some heavy downpours on our way to Edmonton, Alberta. We stopped at our first Tim Hortons (Canadian sandwich/coffee shop…yum!) in Vegreville near the Walmart where we decided to sit out the rains and high winds before moving on to Spruce Grove where we spent the night at….yes, another Walmart.

Oct 8, 2013 - Day Twenty-Nine We're Home

Well, we made it. We are now safe and sound back at home. This morning we were up at 6:00, bags out by 6:30 and on the road by 7:30. The breakfast was cold continental, but there were boiled eggs :). As we traveled, we made stops in Medicine Hat, Grassy Lakes, Taber, Strathmore, Calgary, Ardrie, Red Deer, Leduc and then ours....Edmonton. What an amazing adventure. Am I glad we went by motor coach? Absolutely. We saw more than we ever would have on our own and we didn't have to do the driving or make the arrangements. Yes, we had a few on...

Mar 11, 2008 - almost ready!!

I can't believe we are leaving tomorrow. I feel both excited about venturing out on a journey of this magniture (3 weeks away from my family, into another country) or a bit fearful (3 weeks away from my family, into another country!). I know that I am leaving my adult kids @ home with a loving church family to surround them should they need anything but -- once a mother, always a mother! It's hard to realize they really are adults and don't need their mom around to catch them if they are sick or get hurt in this crazy thing we call life! I...
