It's almost time to put our baby to bed until our February trip. We thought with the changing leaves and beautiful fall colours, we should head north for the weekend. I had hauled a friend's trailer up here several weeks ago and thought it would be a nice area to investigate. The day is beautiful and the leaves are stunning. We are staying at the Bancroft Trailer Park on the north side of town. It's pretty desserted except for the seasonal trailers. We are heading to Maynooth, Barry's Bay and Algonquin Park. May 11 - Highland Grove, Ontario During out trip, I have previously mentioned that we met a great family from Ontario that we connected with a number of times as they were following a similar route, Steph and Rob and their two boys Zach and Greg. So, we're heading up to visit with them for a few days. Jun 26, 2004 - Bonnechere Caves

Basing ourselves at Bancroft we explored the local area and then visited the Bonnechere Caves. The existence of the Caves were noted on the first map made of the Bonnechere River in 1853. Lying under a hill of limestone, said by geologists to have been the bottom of a tropical sea 500 million years ago, the Caves present a weird and entrancing sight.
