We woke up to sunshine, a rare sight for us so far on our trip. After a big breakfast, we headed out on highway 400, which was wild, I might add. It took us about an hour and a half to reach the 407, which is supposed to be a toll highway, where they mail you a bill for travelling on it. We have travelled this one before, and have never been billed for it. After another hour and a half, and we arrived at Horseshoe Falls (Niagara Falls), on the Ontario side. Aug 14, 2012 - Still in Wasaga Beach

Woke up to rain (surprise, surprise). Trish and Don had left for work already, so we helped ourselves to coffee, before hitting the pool to do some laps (yes, in the rain). 30 laps, a hot tub soaking, then inside for some breakfast. Brother Don took the afternoon off, and we all walked down to the Beach. by the time we got back, it was time for a beer by the pool. Don and Trish treated us to a Chinese Restaurant for supper, and loaded us up on calories before we head out tomorrow morning. It has been a great visit. We hope to be back again...

Aug 13, 2012 - Coldwater, Ontario visit

Another early morning, as we jumped back in the Camaro for a drive to Coldwater, Ontario to visit with the Spates'. Marg served some fresh cinnamon buns, which were as good as ever! Both Marg and Darryill look great! Retirement is good on them! We had a good visit, and caught up on all the Thompson gossip. Darryill and Marg had three of their grandchildren there visiting with them. So cute! We got back to the Steele's, and had a quick lunch before driving over to "the corner".
