I needed to get the motorhome to the tyre place by 8:00am which was a bit of a shock to the system. It was a ½ hour drive from here so a very early start. At first I was nervous about leaving the satellite dish set up when I left with the motorhome but people seem to leave all kinds of things like chairs, barbeques, mats, etc so now it doesn’t bother me & is much easier than setting it up every time. Canada 2017

Jun 18, 2017 - Kakabeka Falls to Fort William

A huge journey of 25 km this morning so I was in no hurry to leave. I’m still adjusting to the time change so got up late then stopped to get fuel, which takes a while when you need to put in over 200 litres. I had to pay 113.9 cents per litre today which is the most expensive since I left BC. In Manitoba it was as cheap as 92.9. Today marks 2 months since I left home & in that time I’ve driven 5,293 km. Canada 2017

Aug 1, 2013 - Thunder Bay, Ontario and Fort William

A couple days we rode the motorcycle north into Ontario and had fun riding around the town of Thunder Bay and visiting Old Fort William, which added to our knowledge of the fur trading days of the area. We visited a neat restaurant for lunch - the food was tasty, but we found out prices in Thunder bay were way higher than we thought they’d be! We also rode to the Harley dealership in Thunder Bay - we had on our winter leather jackets as we rode, but lots of the people in town were in shirtsleeves.
