Things have changed considerably since the last post. On the night after we saw the chiropractor Sue experienced some very sharp pain in the middle of the night. We decided to head into Buffalo the next day to an urgent care facility to get another opinion. To our delighted surprise she was seen by a concerned nurse and concerned doctor who came up with a clear diagnosis and prognosis for her condition. Jun 15, 2017 - Sherkston Shores

Our plan was to spend two weeks at Sherkston Shores RV Resort. The park is a Sun Resort property located in Ontario about 15 miles west of Buffalo on the north shore of Lake Erie. Our initial impression of the park was not good. It is a very large park with a plethora of speed bumps that made our journey from the office to our site a nasty bumpy one. A second irritant was the location of the utilities near the front of our site forcing long lengths of electric cord, water hose and sewer hose. Thirdly, there was no wifi at our site. On the...

Jun 19, 2016 - Small towns and ice cream

We took a side trip in our car and headed south of Niagara Falls, and did a loop to the west. We first went to Fort Erie, and though we could walk along the beach, but no pets aloud anywhere, very disappointing. We continued west to a small town, Port Colburne. This is where to Welland Canal starts, there are 8 locks, and it takes 11 hours to go through We got ice cream and enjoyed the picnic table in the shade, as did Joe.
