Oct 12, 2018 - Renfrew, Ontario

With the gas gauge getting low, I made the only fill-up in Canada on this trip, over $200 CDN for about 55 gallons, but it would get us all the way to Burlington, Vermont, where $3 a gallon would look pretty good. Usually, we don't call and ask permission to stay overnight in Walmarts, when we arrive, and there are no signs posted to the contrary, and at least one other RV is there, we just pull in and crank up the television antenna. But, in this case it was a long way from Sudbury to Ottawa, so I made the call again, this time to the...

Sep 10, 2016 - Boondockers

- - We arranged to stop at a Boondocking couples place, there were really friendly, and plan on relocating to BC. We drove the north route, from Drummondville though Montreal, as we missed the turn off with all the construction overpass's near Hwy 30 turnoff. We ended up over the bridge and onto Ottawa and Paid $25 for a 5 min ferry ride. We we not too happy with the GPS at all today! There were some heavy rains & winds in the afternoon. The is so much farmland from Drummondville to Renfrew.

Oct 3, 2015 - Renfrew

We decided not to race out of Quebec City, as we were sure the highway would be busy with morning commuters. Got away about 9:15. We chose to take the route north of the St. Lawrence seaway to avoid the construction, tolls and heavy traffic south of Montreal. We crossed at Trois rivieres, which is a crazy high steep metal bridge. They must at times close lanes on it because they have the lane closure lights going in both directions. The middle of the bridge is a cement wall and the outside is also cement...and the lanes are very narrow. It...

We are still in Renfrew, Ontario and will leave tomorrow for Montreal. We spent two days touring Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada. Aug 5, 2011 - Renfrew, Ontario

We left North Bay around 0900 this morning and arrived in Renfrew, Ontario at the KOA campground around 1230. We have signed up for three days because we intend to tour Canada's capital, the city of Ottawa over the next two days. The drive was uneventful and the weather was excellent. After arriving and getting set-up and settled Marge called a friend that lives in Shawville, Quebec, about 17 miles from the campground. We drove to Shawville for a visit and we were there for about two hours. Tomorrow we will drive into Ottawa, about 45...
