Jun 12, 2017 - On to Michigan

Monday, 6/12/17 We were packed and off by 5:30am going the Canada route to Michigan. Approximately 6 hours. I hoped to finish the audio book that I had started on the way to New York. We did not run into any bad traffic, but the border crossing was strange. I thought we’d just stop at the booth, get asked a couple questions, then be on our way. But we had to actually park and go into a building and wait while someone looked over my passport and this yellow paper that the booth person gave me. I didn’t even get a stamp on my passport! The...

Well we decided to change our route a bit and enter Canada via Port Huron vice Detroit. Nice ride thru the countryside of upstate Michigan and over the Blue Water Bridge. Thru the duty free shop (2 Bailey's for $24 good deal. We then allowed a vehicle in front of us who said they were in a hurry as I rolled my eyes and when we got to the toll booth to discover he paid our toll for us, just like at Timmies eh lol. It was only a 15 minute ride to Randi's sisters place where we will spend the weekend. We are off to start house hunting in the...

Friday, July 6, 2012 In the morning, Sharon and I went to the grocery store to buy supplies for the Campvention in Blyth, ON, filled the truck with gas, and put up supplies. Jul 6, 2012 - Escapee luncheon and headstones

Tuesday, July 3, 2012 A day of rest. We did not do much of anything but rest. Wednesday, July 4, 2012 Turned the mattress in the Casita and washed the carpet. With the hot days we are having, the carpet dried in no time. In the evening we played cards and watched the New York and Detroit fireworks. Thursday, July 5, 2012 We went to an Escapee RV Club luncheon in the town of London, ON – about one hour and fifteen minutes from Corunna, ON. The restaurant we went to served delicious Chinese food. There was a large group that came in from a...

Jun 27, 2012 - Corunna, Ontario, Canada

Monday, June 25, 2012 We got an early start today and headed to the Lapeer courthouse. We were fortunate to get my great grandmother’s birth certificate and death certificates for both my 2G grandmother and my 3G grandmother. It did not take long for the lady to look up the information and make me certified copies then we went to eat. For my grandchildren it is their great, great, great, great, great grandmother's death certificate. We made a quick stop at the grocery store for some supplies and a fill-up with gas on the US side before...

Aug 22, 2011 - Almost in the U. S.

Today we are leaving Niagara Falls and heading to Corunna, Ontario just off the Canadian/U.S. border. Before we leave Niagara Falls we are going to do the Journey behind the falls at Table Rock. We will end up in tunnels under the thundering falls and then get a close up view of them on the decks. The kids will get to see the falls in the daylight finally, although it’s hard to see through all the mist anyhow. We got some nice pictures down at the observation decks. Once we got to Erin’s house the kids jumped in the pool almost...

Leaving McGregor around 9:00am, we fuelled up with gas and propane, and hit the 401 to start our first RVing adventure in our 36' Gulfstream Yellowstone A Class RV. After taking a wrong turn in Chatham, we stopped in a large parking lot at a Salvation Army to let our two doggies, Lady Luck and Jenny Bean, out for a quick pee and stroll. We then travelled highway 40...
