Day forty six – rest day-Aug 5 Tottenham There was a lightning storm last night. Some of us sat around watching. I grew tired and crawled into my tent. Just as sleep came for me there was a squeal of voices as if some young girls got caught by Freddie Krugger. Then there was the crackle of strip fireworks. Noisy for a campground. Except it the girls were running from the advancing front of a rain storm: the crackling was rain drops dancing on the top of my tent. Aug 4, 2012 - Tottenham

Day Forty Five – Aug 4 Tottenham 162k This was a killer of a day. There was heat. There was humidity. There was head wind. There were hills. There were wrong turns. There was a lot of pain. No one liked this day and if they said they did they kept it to themselves. The ride was 154k through cottage county Ontario, weaving around the major centers.
