We started our day today at 3:30 AM to be ready for our 4:30 AM tour bus pick-up. This tour cost $150 mil Colombian pesos or about $50US each. We arrived in Cartagena about 9:00 am and I was able to sleep some on the ride, however our van was packed with 14 including 3 children and two 6 month twin boys and a barely sufficient air conditioner. Jan 7, 2010 - Cartagena

I arrived in Cartagena late at night, desperately in need of a wash and some sleep. I struggled again finding a hostel with a vacancy and ended up taking one right at the bottom end of the market. It was by far the dirtiest room I had stayed in. There were lots of suspicious looking stains on my sheets. I used a t`shirt as a pillow case and didn`t move all night for fear of a part of my body coming free from my sleeping bag (which I had cocooned myself in) and touching the sheets. Mar 26, 2008 - Cartagena Colombia: Pre-parental visit

I was supposed to leave for managua yesterday afternoon but i was convinced by some persuasive people to take a cab in the middle of the night right to the airport to catch my 8 am flight. It was definitely a good choice. I was so tired i couldn´t even be in hysterical tears, i just slept the whole cab ride. My plane was perfectly on time, Copa airlines, i recommend it.
