Dec 28, 2011 - Food for Life School, etc.

At the school, blue-uniformed children between ages 4 to 10 were everywhere and though there were teachers, there was an enormous chaotic energy. The children were playing and laughing and seemed to be getting ready for something. We went to meet the person I had only corresponded with by e-mail due to our mutual friend, Kurt’s introduction. The driver was unafraid of bombing through the packed streets....

Upon landing, the plane filled with a smoky smell and we wondered if maybe it was something like the swamp fire smoke we’d experienced in New Orleans in August, but no one was able to tell us what the smoke was and, in fact, no one seemed to even be aware...
