Sep 29, 2010 - Pompei ruins and sorrento

Went to the pompei ruins today. All I can say is amazing and beautiful. To see all the preserved houses and streets etc. Was awesome. We didn't get to see the dog and prego women who were perseved but we saw a family of 13 that had all been perceived by the ash. We also saw a lot of bones and skulls etc. It was very cool but sad at the same time. The women and dog were supposedly at a museum for the off season? Hmm didn't know they did that. Oh well ... Sep 28, 2010 - Pompei

OK so i know i just put in an entry but the others are being boring right now and just sleeping when we could be out looking at the pompei ruins!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whatever.... so anyways this hotel we are staying at is AMAZING! and the people here are soo nice! when we arrived they brought us some juice and pastries. they have everything at this place and its wicked cheap. i think the owners are obsessed with The King of POP! Michel Jackson....the beatles, James Dean. its soooo funnny pictures everywhere! I actually would love to stay here...

Apr 24, 2006 - Pompeii, Sorrento, and Ravello

Ciao Ciao On Thursday 20th I took the bus to Sorrento then the train to Pompei. The bus ride was incredible, with the usual complicated backing manouvres required as other buses were encountered. Often the driver gets out and spends several minutes directing traffic, folding in mirrors etc. But all the Italian drivers seem to have an unspoken understanding of who goes when and what the road protocol is.
