Feb 21, 2009 - Headed Home

It is with great sadness and great joy that Louise and I have decided it is time to return to Canada for an extended period. We are sad to leave Mexico knowing that our work here is not yet complete. We are sad to leave Mexico and all of our new friends, the family at IDT, the families that we have helped build homes for, the people that we have met at church and in the ejidos, towns and neighborhoods where we served. Feb 7, 2009 - Occupancy Date March 1, 2009

Many of you already know the story of Juan and his seniors. His original house was too small and needed much work. It was also only rented. Juan was able to purchase a piece of property that had existing buildings but they also needed work. A team came into Mexico and made several improvements and the house was well on its way to completion. Unfortunately the government and the electric company had a dispute over the overhead wiring location. Juan and his seniors were again forced to move to a rental. Nov 26, 2008 - Vicente Guerrero Again

We are on our way out of Baja. Everything is working great. We plan to eat a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the RV Park. The owner is an American from LA and owns the restaurant here at the park. She fixes and traditional turkey to all who are interested along with all the trimmings and pies. We think we will stay for dinner tomorrow.
