Nov 26, 2020 - Ride to Ghalegaun
Ghalegaun, a gateway to Annapurna Circuit is a popular tourist destination in Lamjung District of Nepal. Besides this popular destination the district has several other unexplored tourist points such as Rainaskot, Kaulepani, middle marsyangdi hydropower, agriculture campus, etc. If you are planning a trip to Lamjung, a week in the district won't be boring. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky to explore all the beauties as it was an overnight stay. I started my bike at 10:30 am at my residence, visited gas station and by the time I left Kathmandu...

Solo ride is not only the best during current global pandemic but it is equally refreshing in normal times. When you're on a solo ride and riding on your own, you don't need to plan the trip and neither worry about your destination for the ride. Even if you have a plan your wheels may take you elsewhere. When I unlock my bike and put my feet on the pedal, my destination was different and much shorter. I ended up with this exciting route that took me almost 6 hours riding over 52 km. Nevertheless, solo ride may get risky if the wheels get...

The porters came to visit and Jagat brought his sister to meet his Canadian 'mom' and 'auntie mom'. He is such a cutie! I went on to the internet and cleaned up my email. The power...

Oct 19, 2019 - The final countdown
Here it is, the end of another trip and one which we all feel really sad now that it is finishing. It hasn't gone out quietly though which isn't a surprise as Karma was involved this morning. The national sport is archery with competitors firing at targets from 140 yards, there are inter-valley tournaments, as well as local village tournaments. From Karma's description gamesmanship of the highest order is in play to, so confirming our description of Sunday morning football, and lines like "my daughter could shoot it further than that" are...
