We arrived at Campbell Island in morning rain. We went for a zodiac ride to see some birds in protected waters, which included the flightless Teal. We also saw the only tree on Campbell Island, named the Loneliest Tree in the World. Later on, sunshine prevailed and the temperature varied from 50 to 55 F. We went to shore to a dry landing in the Zodiacs. Some of the group opted for a "death march" around the island. We chose to walk to nesting sites of the Southern Royal Albatross.
