South Coast Although having to leave Queenstown was a shame, if we'd have stayed longer, our budget would have come under an unacceptable amount of expensive temptation, so it was time to pack up the van and head south to the farming city of Invergargill and the continuation of our New Zealand adventure. Jun 11, 2005 - Squelching tramps

Our first night in the spaceship was surprisingly warm given that the outside temperatures were fairly close to zero - enough to need to wrap up warm. We were up early and set off for the famed "Round The Mountain" tramp (this is NZ lingo for hiking/trekking - over here you go tramping) which started in the little village of Akaroa.
