Arrived Windhoek and had an extremely long drive straight through to Etosha Game Reserve. Temperature reached 36 C during day, grazed on excellent Impala, Kudo and Blesbok biltong purchased in Kleinmond for the long journey. Rondaval at Etosha was a bit sparse considering it was supposed to be self-catering, I mean we could live without eating utensils, but a beer bottle opener and corkscrew (South African wine is still mostly (refreshingly) corked), are essentials. Alan you would be impressed at the excellent mosquito nets completely...

Mar 7, 2016 - Botrivier- omg wherever??
Arrived Botrivier on Friday morning and once I'd got used to the idea of being in the middle of nowhere, I rather enjoyed my time in this really attractive little country town. There is almost nothing here, a couple of shops a few dirt and even a couple of paved roads, however surrounded by mountains, excellent wineries, little coffee shops, peace and quiet, plus beautiful scenery. A lovely little part of the Cape, about an hour from Cape Town where I have enjoyed catching my breath after 3 weeks of travel activities. Wendy and Alan kindly...
