Jun 30, 2012 - Around the Cotswolds

Drove out to have a look at the Cotswalds. Drove through Chipping Campden and overland (following the GPS) to Bourton on the Water where we got out and walked around for awhile. Then we drove on to Chedworth Roman Villa. It was active and very large and plush until the mid 3rd Century, then rediscovered in the 1860's. The National Trust took it over in the 1920's. Jun 29, 2012 - In Halford

Friday, June 29, 2012 Drove to our cottage in Halford to be sure we could find it and then went to get some groceries in Shipston-on-Stour. Looked around there in the village. Very nice, very traditional village - lots of traditional shops - butcher, 2 bakers, green grocer, charity shops, really nice village. There was a small supermarket where we picked up some things for supper and for breakfast. Went to the cottage. It's very pretty, comfortable, nicely decorated.
