May 25th 2006 - Thursday We started the day with a walk through the restored Ghost Town of Calico. We also stopped at a Museum of the Borax 20 Mule Team. This is an interesting piece of American history. Calico. Once a bustling Silver Mining Town, producing $86 million in silver and $45 million in borax from over 500 mines, such as the legendary Silver King, Oriental and Bismarck.
