Today we arose to sunshine which turned to fog in a matter of 15 minutes. We took our time getting ready then had breakfast and then set up our reservations for the next two campgrounds. After arriving in town we made a wrong turn and had to go through a parking lot a few blocks away and wouldn't you know we came upon a quilt shop. After buying a pattern and some fabric we headed to the Frankenmuth Historical Museum. Aug 20, 2014 - Vassar, Michigan

I mentioned in the last journal that it was Wednesday. Well I got ahead of myself. So today is now Wednesday and we left our campground around 9:30 with a destination of somewhere in Michigan. We had overcast skies with a threat of rain which is ok with us on a driving day. We will be crossing into Ontario, Canada over the Queenston Bridge. It was 228 miles to Port Huron and took us 4 hrs. Aug 21, 2012 - Back to the USA!

Tuesday, August 21 Up early, but fooled around. It was fairly cold, and I didn't feel like getting the stove out, so we had a cold breakfast. The Visitor Center was closed, with no hours posted. This park was a POW camp for German officers during WWII. Got on the road about 9:45. Stopped for gas in White River. Another full day of driving. We got to Sault Ste.
