Arrived at Wolverine Michigan to a Passport America site. Sturgeon Valley Campground. We really took a liking to this place! The owner/hosts were supper nice people and made us feel very welcome. Grassy sites with lots of trees and not overly busy for this time of year. A small stream (River) ran along side the campground and you could tube ride the river to get into town. (we didn't try this one) They had their own free range chickens and we took advantage of the $2.50 a dozen fresh eggs. We had campfires here both nights and then were...

Jul 20, 2010 - Long ride for Jay

Another quiet day at the camp site. More neighbors moved in. Met the people next to us. They are full time RVers. They made it sound lovely, but I would miss my bricks and mortar. Jay rode his bike on the "Rails to Trails" bike path. He rode for about 5 hrs. Later this afternoon, we rode down to Vanderbilt to look at the property we used to own. It now has a cute house with a garden. We then went to dinner at Ponderosa restaurant in Gaylord. After dinner we went to the casino, and we both won a little - which is better than losing a little....
