WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN COLUMBUS SEEING ALL THE FAMILY. US SISTERS AND BOBBI OUR NIECE W ENT TO LINCOLN NEBR. THURS. MORNING AND CAME BACK FRI. EVENING. HAD A GREAT TIME AND DID LOTS OF SHOPPING. THINK WE HIT EVERY THRIFT STORE IN LINCOLN. LOL. WE ALSO ALL HAD PEDICRES AND MANICRES. I'M SURE THATS NOT SPELLED RIGHT.!! LOL OUR LASTNIGHT THERE MY SIS CAROL AND DON HAD EVERYONE TO THERE HOUSE. 3 OF THERE KIDS AND FAMILIES WERE THERE. MY SIS CHRIS HAD ALL HER KIDS THERE WITH THEIR FAMILIES. Monday morning was a beautiful day as we left Morton MN and were on our way. At Redwood Falls, MN we encountered a vicious headwind in the range of 30-35mph. We fought our way on through Marshall, MN and continued to Pipestone, MN and then turned west towards South Dakota. After a while I noticed there was no more wind, wow our luck was changing. After a while we turned south on US highway 81 and picked up a slight tailwind, happy days are here again. Sad day today. It's time to move on...and I so like this campground...said goodbye to the hundreds of geese; said goodbye to the good walking trails; said goodbye to peace, quiet and beautiful colors. It's time for us to move on.

(Ron Writing) This morning I took advantage of the nice high-speed internet connection we had in Omaha and caught up on some computer work. This afternoon we left Omaha heading west on US-6 to US-275 north to US-30 west. US-30 follows one of the original trails to the west, usually referred to as the Mormon Trail. It runs along the north side of the Platte River. Today we drove as far as Columbus, NE. Really enjoyed our 2 days with Jim & Judi. On our trip to Grand Island,Ne got some pictures of corn piling up and also Milo( a grain grown for feed) big fields and big feed lots for cattle all along our route. Left Rising City Monday,10-10 for Great Bend,Kansas. Ran into some rain along the way(while I(Judi) was driving, of course but I only drove 50 miles that day and we stayed overnight in a Walmart lot, Dave got his glasses fixed and I shopped .
