We came back to Willow Creek Campground for the 4th of July. We wanted a place that didn't allow fireworks because Bridget is afraid of them. We picked the right place. It was the quietest 4th of July ever and Bridget was one happy camper! (Course, she didn't know anything was different since she has no idea what the date on the calendar is!)

Retired at Last!

May 19, 2013 - Pierce NE - Willow Creek Campground

Overnighted in Pierce so we could visit Cuthills winery before heading to South Dakota. The weather was very stormy, so we just hunkered down in the camper most of the time watching for weather warnings. Good thing the Tailgaiter (Dish) kept working so we knew what was going on.

Sep 29, 2012 - Pierce Ne - Chasing the Colors! - Willow Creek Campground

We're finally on our way!!! Finished up all the business on the house on the 27th and started our next adventure on the 28th. We are heading for South Dakota to check out the fall fishing before starting to head south for the winter. We are going to follow all the beautiful fall colors in the trees from South Dakota to Missouri. It is really starting to be quite pretty here in Nebraska. Retired at Last!

Jun 3, 2012 - Pierce NE - Willow Creek Campground

After Memorial Day, we headed to Pierce NE where we spent several days camping at Willow Creek SRA. The weather was not great 3 of those days, but our last full day at the campground was beautiful. With the cool and somewhat rainy weather, we decided it was a good time for some indoor activities, so we visited the Cuthills Vineyards just a short drive from the campground. The winery was the first winery established in Nebraska since Prohibition. They opened in December 1994 and produce some really good wines. We recommend Poet's Red (either...
