Oct 5, 2006 - Lake George, NY

We are making are way North to Burlington, VT. We got a late start on Wednesday and opted for stopping at Lake George RV Park. What a surprise find. This is the biggest and prettiest RV park so far. It boasts 2 outdoor heated pools and 1 indoor heated pool, a pond stocked with bass and another for paddleboats, theaters, game rooms and a cafe. It's not on Lake George, but is very close to it, offering transportation all day long throughout the Summer. We couldn't get here in time to enjoy all the Summer activities, but it's Fall and the...

Sep 27, 2006 - at Lake George in the Adirondacks

Today we arrived at Lake George in the Adirondacks. Fortunately we have WiFi at this campground......because we have NO cell reception!! We do have satellite TV however.....so we are not all that bad off....except if someone wants to talk to us via cell phone. We will stay here until Sunday morning (at least) depending on the weather and what we see and get done between now and then. Lake George is a destination resort for New Yorkers.....the scenery is beautiful, lots to do on the lake and in the surrounding areas. We will get to Lake...

Sep 9, 2006 - Lake George, NY

We left Pennsylvania on Thursday and made a quick stop for breakfast in Milton, PA. It's a really cute town not too far from my dad's house. I've been there several times before but Jay had never been there, so I showed him all the fun spots...that would be defined as all the craft shops in town. After our stop we traveled back to NY state to the Lake George area. This is quite a resort area in the summer and it's very busy this weekend too as there's a car show in town. The cars driving the main drag are really something! Everyone in town...

Aug 29, 2006 - Adirondacks

On the road at 6:30a.m. headed to Fort Ticonderoga in New York. It rained all night and is still drizzly and windy. The wind is what is so tiring to drive this rig into but we have lots of time so we take it easy. Don't know how long it will take us to cross the border back into the U.S. When we came across a couple of days ago, the line going into the U.S. was several miles long so we are prepared for a long wait....good time for me to catch up on journaling. Haven't been able to do much scrapbooking yet because there is too much to see...

Jun 17, 2006 - Lake George, NY

Lake George, NY We liked this campground the best so far. The grounds are among many tall pine trees that offers plenty of shade. Reasonable fees. WiFi at the office. The sites are quite level and provides lots of room between each RV. It is very well maintained. The campground is located between Glens Falls and Lake George Village which makes both very accessible. It is still off-season so there aren't many people around. The week before we came was Bikers Week. Being here in season would not pleasant. Day 1: Ouch! Woke up to temperatures...
