Today we left Vermont, drove through Massachusetts, and stopped for one night at Woodland Hills Campground in Austerlitz, New York. Woodland Hills is a pretty little campground well off the highway. We're enjoying beautiful fall weather and the peaceful waterfall sound created by the fountain in the lake. It's a nice way to relax after a day of travel.

Sep 4, 2012 - All day on the road...

We got terrifically early start, basically as soon as Mayzie woke up...and almost twelve hours later we pulled into a beautiful, quiet campground just west of the MA/ NY border(again, RV camping, for the most part) which demonstrated to us that RV campgrounds can be done very, very well. This was a lovely change after that final night in NS... We pulled into the campground just after 6:30 PM. We spotted the washer and dryer right away, and readied our damp (read 'soaked') red-mud stained laundry for it. Got to the washer...no shoes allowed...
