This morning we got up and went for a drive to the Saratoga National Historical park to visit the Battlefield of the Battle of Saratoga, October 7th, 1777, War of Independence. Bub's great great great great grandfather Job Prince was a member of the Albany Militia which was engaged in this battle. It was very interesting and a beautifularea of our great country. We passed Lake Saratoga on the way and were amazed at how high the water level was. Most docks were under water and we even saw a man fishing from a bench on a dock that was a foot...

Today we drove up to Albany to see the Martin Van Buren home. Again another home, but the history and information about the man was very interesting. We took a tour and the guide was very informative about the man himself. That I found to be interesting. From there we went to the Saratoga National Battlefield. This is a revolutionary war battlefield and they have it laid out pretty nice. They have posts in the ground indicating where the British troops and where the U.S. troops were.
