Sep 7, 2013 - It comes down to reality, and its fine with me cause I've let it slide....

I don't care if it's Chinatown or on Riverside. I don't have any reasons. I left them all behind. I'm in a New York state of mind… Well actually first I was in a New Jersey state of mind. I did land at JFK and was met by a car service that swiftly whisked me over the GWB and into NJ. I arrived at my sister Kelli’s house to the wonderful hugs and smiles of my family. My Niece Danielle was there, my sister Kelli and her boyfriend Jorge (the last time we were all together was in February in Colombia). They had pizza and chicken wings waiting...

Oct 17, 2012 - Day Twelve West Yarmouth through Rhode Island, Connecticut to White Plains, NY

We need to clarify yesterday's log. The Kennebunkport mansion actually is owned by President Bush The First. We still did not see George or Laura through the binoculars. Mike and Skeeter were both very close to the correct answer yesterday. The sunset at Race Point Beach on Cape Cod is unique because it is the only place on the east coast of the continental US where one can view a sunset over open ocean since the beach faces northwest. Left this am at 8:07 under clear and sunny skies with temp of 50 which rose to a high of 60. We heard...

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Sep 22, 2006 - Fun with Grandchildren

We are in Westchester County, NY, staying in beautiful Croton Point Park. It is on the Hudson River. It is about 20 minutes from where Joel, Rita and our grandsons live. We spend most of every day with our grandsons, Rita and Joel. Joel has a very demanding job right now with IBM. He is gone every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They all retire fairly early (like 9 p.m.). Then we come back to the RV to sleep and in the morning eat breakfast. We walk or ride bikes around the beautiful park each morning. Evan is 4 months old now and just so...

The Kyser Chronicles

Jul 21, 2006 - Uncovering Little Gems

It was Wednesday, our last day in Pennsylvania. We were spending our usual lazy morning, lying in bed, watching Good Morning America, then Live with Regis and Kelly, while checking email and surfing the 'net. I was reading some posts on one of the RV forums we follow, "All About RVing". There was a question from an RV newbie about finding campgrounds, and which directories to get. A forum member mentioned a website called RV Park Reviews. So I went to check it out and started surfing around. This website is out there for RVers to post...

Jun 6, 2004 - New York

Well, I've made it to New York! I arrived late last night - I caught a shuttle bus from the airport to my hostel - I had a really nice driver who even drove through times square so I could see it at night. It is so bright! There would have to be about 20 tv screens all showing different news channels - the big news at the moment being ex-president Ronald Regan's death. I have my own room in the hostel - though it is tiny - smaller than any of the cells we saw at Alcatraz! Basically a bit of space beside the bed to let you get in and a...
