Aug 27, 2011 - The Pig Roast
Got up early (why, I don't know), went straight to the garage for coffee, omelet and English muffin. They had the t.v. on so we were able to watch the news of the terrible East Coast storms. Called Carol in Rhode Island, and thank goodness, the storm was on the opposite side of where they live. What a horrible tragedy for so many people. After breakfast, we all went for a walk and enjoyed the flowers, trees and ferns. Beautiful property. We picked out our spot for next year. All together there were 13 trailers/motorhomes and 6 tent set...Jump to full entry
Aug 26, 2011 - Spending time with friends
Got up about 8 a.m. and headed for the large garage area where everyone was having breakfast and coffee. We had eggs that we made in Ziploc bags (put 2 eggs in a Ziploc, add all the goodies, like cheese, tomatoes, onions, etc and mush it all together. Drop the bag in boiling water for 15 minutes and yeah, you have an omelet), fried rice, bagels, bread..all the great fixin’s. Aug 25, 2011 - On our way to Home!
Today we packed up and headed out to Kitsap Peninsula ( city called Home--don't you love the name?) to meet up with friends for an annual pig feed weekend. We followed Bob and Sara for the 1 ½ hour drive. We got set up in our friend Roger’s sisters land, about 6 ½ acres where they were hosting the party. After getting set up we got a cocktail in hand, and headed off to meet everyone there.
