Aug 3, 2019 - Stevenson, Washington,

August 3. Correction- Slinger is not north east of Milwaukee. That would put it in the lake! It’s more like north west or whatever! By noon I had my act in gear and we were ready to take off again in the car. I really was not familiar at all with the area called the Cascade Range which is the mountain range north of the Sierras and west of the Rockies. Where we are is really a great area as a...

Aug 2, 2019 - Stevenson, Washington

Friday, 7-27-07. Mileage 66062. We drove 148 miles. We are following Hwy 14 across the southern border of Washington. This is the scenic route. It is a 2 lane road. Most of the time we can see Hwy 84 across the Columbia river in Oregon. It is a divided freeway. We started out from Stevenson. We went off to the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center. It is a museum and another one of those places where you could have spent days. They had many exhibits. One of them was a logging exhibit with lots of old chain saws. One was the world's largest...
