Halong Bay, Vietnam We decided to take a 3 day tour of Halong Bay. We weren't really sure what to expect, but everyone raved about it so we signed up. On the morning we left, we were split off from our group to go on another bus. Why? We still do not know. We were led to another bus, filled with a group of Polish people. This bus only had one empty seat, but with some re-arranging and more re-shuffling we finally got on board and off we went. If you have ever been to Asia, this is touring Asian style - as no mode of transportation ever...

Jul 14, 2005 - Halong Bay Tour 12th - 14th July

Came back from 3 days in Halong Bay today. A mini bus picked me up from my hotel in the morning at 8ish, and it took about 4 hours to get to Halong City. From there, we boarded one of about 20 chinese junks, and had lunch as we cruised out through the harbour. I had taken some ginger tablets just in case I got sea sick, but not only did I not feel a thing, but I rediscovered my appetite! Aug 18, 2004 - Halong Bay

Hey Yall, Hope all is well on your end as it sure is at my end!! ;-) Went on day trip to Halong Bay and MY GOD...what a sight!!! Thousands of limestone islands rising from the clear emerald-like waters. It's like what I had seen in southern Thailand and what most had seen in the James Bond film, "The Man With The Golden Gun." Imagine this picture...oh no no no...never mind my description as the photos are readily available for yall to look at up above. ;-) Saved me from typing a thousand words! Anyway...it was truly a marvel seeing so many...
